Dr. Mike Wray

Mike has over 25 years’ experience of delivering and managing services in the public sector support disabled people. He was previously senior policy adviser at the UK national coordination team for widening participation (Action on Access), and national co-ordinator for the National Disability Team (NDT).

During his time with the NDT he oversaw £2.1m of funding across 23 projects in HEPs in England setting up disability provision within small specialist HEIs such as the London School of Economics and Political Science, the Royal College of Music and the Institute of Education and projects developing inclusive teaching, learning and assessment resources across the sector.

Mike has worked as a consultant and has been a member of policy groups for a range of projects and organisations including, the University of York, the Education University Hong Kong, the General Teaching Council for England, the Quality Assurance Agency and the Higher Education Funding Council for England.

Mike also works as a doctoral student supervisor at the London Doctoral Academy at London South Bank University and was recently engaged in a project (funded by the Society for Research in Higher Education) researching universal design for learning in UK higher education institutions.
